Vice Governor Lin Musheng met with Liew Mun Leong, President and Chief Executive Officer of Singapore’s CapitaLand Limited, at provincial hall on May 19, 2008.

    Lin made a briefing regarding social and economic development and real estate industry in the province.

    Lin spoke highly of CapitaLand’s active participation in Guangdong’s economic construction, saying he encourages the company to expand its investment in Guangdong to make more achievements with its advantage in capital, technology and experience in accordance with Chinese laws and regulations and market economy principles.

    Lin said Singapore is well experienced in improving people’s housing conditions and implementing Home Ownership Scheme, particularly in public housing development.

    Lin added he wishes Liew would share his insights and expertise with Guangdong regarding low-rent and affordable housing construction along with CapitaLand’s business development.

    Liew made an introduction concerning CapitaLand’s business operation in the province, saying it will be actively involved with affordable housing development in Guangdong.

    Fang Qingfang, Director General of Provincial Department of Construction, Chen Zhiying, Deputy Director General of General Office of Provincial Government, and Li Chunyan, Supervision Commissioner of GDFAO, attended the meeting.
