A 16-member delegation headed by Jung Jae Young, Chairman of Economy and Investment Committee of Korea’s Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly, paid a visit to Shenzhen, Dongguan, Huizhou and Guangzhou from September 21 to 23, 2006.

    The delegation’s visit was aimed at studying Guangdong’s social and economic development and Gyeonggi investment in Guangdong. The delegation visited the Guangzhou International Conference and Exhibition Center in Pazhou and Provincial Department of Foreign Economy and Trade Cooperation (GDDOFTEC) on September 22. GDDOFTEC Deputy Director General Zhao Yufang met with the delegation and made a brief introduction on Guangdong’s economy, foreign trade and Guangdong-Gyeonggi economic & trade cooperation.

    The delegation members expressed their admiration and extended their congratulations on Guangdong’s economic achievements, saying that they will continue to support the cooperation between Gyeonggi and Guangdong enterprises.
