Responsible for the reception of the visiting foreign heads of state, government, heads of parties, parliaments and other VIPs and high-ranking diplomatic delegations to Guangdong arranged by related departments of the central government; Accepts and arranges for the reception of the visiting foreign diplomats to Guangdong; Exams and approves the planning regarding international conference and protocol affairs activities hosted by departments of Guangdong government or institutions appointed to Guangdong by the central government. Responsible for coordinating the non-operational exchanges between the provincial government and foreign financial institutions, insurance agencies, chambers of commerce and corporations; Responsible for coordinating provincial leaders’ foreign affairs activities and on-the-spot protocol arrangements; In charge of inspecting and approving the related issues concerning the visits to Guangdong of VIPs above deputy minister level and officials from nations which share no diplomatic ties with China. Inspects and provides VIP treatments to the visiting foreign guests.
