1. Travel Documents

When traveling around, the member of the consular post and the accompanying family members should take with them the consular or service identity cards or valid residence permits and should not enter or go beyond any areas marked with "Authorized Admission Only".

For travel to non-open regions, application must be made, five working days in advance, to the Foreign Affairs Office of the destination with the completed Application Form for Travel (in two copies) stamped by the consular post. Upon approval, the applicant may travel to the region with the returned Application Form for Travel stamped with "Travel Permitted" by the Foreign Affairs Office and the appropriate identity card. In case of any change of the date, place and companion of the travel, a new application must be made as stated above.

2. Travel To Tibet

Because of the limitation of accommodation capacity, any member of the consular post and the accompanying family members planning to travel to Tibet Autonomous Region must make the application, fifteen working days in advance, to the Foreign Affairs Office of Tibet Autonomous Region. Upon approval, the applicants should travel as arranged by the Foreign Affairs Office of Tibet Autonomous Region.

3. Means of Transportation

When traveling out of the city where the consular post seats, the member of the consular post and the accompanying family members should make use of Chinese public transportation. In case of special need to use the consular vehicle, application for approval must be made to the Foreign Affairs Office in advance.
