Exchange of Foreign Currencies

1. Entry and Exit with Foreign Currencies

The members of the consular post and the accompanying family members may remit or bring foreign currencies into China and keep to themselves, deposit in bank, and sell to the designated exchange bank. With valid bank certificate, they may also remit or bring their foreign currencies out of China.

2. Exchange of Foreign Currencies

The consular post, its members and the accompanying family members may exchange their foreign currencies for Renminbi for use in China. They may also exchange their legal income in Renminbi, such as consular fees and monetary gains from selling personal articles, into foreign currencies or remit them out of China. The exchange as mentioned above can be completed with the supportive documents and receipts at the designated exchange bank.
