1. Installation of Radio Receiving and Transmitting Appliance

If the consular post plans to install a radio receiving and transmitting appliance, the application for such should be presented in a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the embassy of the sending state in China, together with two copies of completed Application Form for Foreign Embassies in China to Use Radio Receiving and Transmitting Appliance. With the consent of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the consular post may import, install and use the equipment. Whenever any technical specification as indicated in the Application Form is to be altered during the operation, the consular post must obtain the approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in advance.

In case of need to add or replace any equipment, the consular post must apply for approval in the same procedure as stated above. When the new equipment is put into use, the replaced one must be removed.

2. Installation of Satellite TV Receiver

If the consular post and its members plan to install a satellite TV receiver, the application for such installation should be presented in a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the embassy of the sending state in China, together with two copies of completed Application Form for Foreign Diplomatic Establishments in China to Install Satellite TV Receiver. With the consent of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the consular post may import, install and use the equipment. In case of need to add, replace or change any equipment, the consular post must apply for approval in the same procedure as stated above.

The satellite TV receiver installed with the approval of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should only be used to receive TV programs transmitted by Chinese or international satellites and all the information received must be intended only for the use of the consular post and its members.
